PABLO — Saturday was unkind to the Lions, as both the Eureka boys and girls basketball teams fell in loser-out play at the Western B Divisional basketball tournament.

The 1-2 punch of Carson Orr and Thomas Guinard lifted the Troy Trojans over the Eureka boys 62-48.

Mission’s girls sank 12 3-pointers and ousted the Lady Lions 65-44.

Orr scored 24 points and Guinard 20 for the Trojans. Orr hit a pair of 3-pointers and knocked down 7 of 10 fourth-quarter free throws as Troy avenged two regular-season losses to the Lions. Guinard had three baskets in the final period.

Brody Chapman scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half as Eureka (12-8) tried to rally.

Troy beat Deer Lodge 47-28 in the third-place game. Because the Trojans lost to Arlee in the first round, they can challenge Missoula Loyola on Monday.
