A 19-year-old from Kalispell died in a crash Saturday night after his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and was struck by a pickup, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

The teen was driving a Honda Accord southbound on Foys Lake Road in Kalispell, around mile marker 7, when he reportedly took the curve too fast and went into oncoming traffic, where a Toyota Tundra struck the driver’s side door of his car. Troopers were dispatched around 9:20 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Highway Patrol.

The 58-year-old man driving the Toyota Tundra and his passenger, a 17-year-old girl, both from Columbia Falls, were transported to Logan Health Medical Center with injuries.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing seat belts, according to the troopers. Speed is the suspected factor in the crash. Road conditions were bare and dry.
