COEUR d'ALENE — The Canopy Village Foundation has begun the search for a Foundation Director to lead the organization's fundraising and development efforts in support of Canopy Village.

“The mission of Canopy Village is strong, and our community has supported this work for many years,” said Marie Nail, president of the Canopy Village Foundation Board.”

Canopy Village and the Canopy Village Foundation operate as separate nonprofits with a shared mission. Canopy Village provides residential and family support programs for children and families experiencing abuse, neglect or crisis, while the Foundation serves as its fundraising arm.

In August, the organizations announced a leadership restructuring aimed at strengthening operations and positioning both nonprofits for growth.

In December, Rosa Mettler, LCSW, was named executive director of Canopy Village after more than 11 years as the organization’s clinical therapeutic leader.

The Foundation’s new director will work with Mettler and the Canopy Village leadership team to help meet the growing needs of children and families.

“With dedicated staff, committed board leadership, and strong donor support, the Foundation is well positioned for its next chapter,” Nail said. “We are excited to welcome a dynamic leader who will help expand our impact and ensure Canopy Village can continue serving children and families who need us most.”
