Permaculture program being offered at library

Area residents are invited to learn how to practice permaculture (permanent + agriculture) without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers at an upcoming event at the Priest River Library.

Also, included in the presentation will be ways to build up soil, reduce water usage, and build natural habitat.

Presented by Mary Bishop of All Things Regenerative, LLC, the event will be held Saturday, March 14, at the Priest River Library. It begins at 11 a.m.

Bishop works with community gardens and homeowners. Her designs include gardens focusing on pollinators and other beneficial insects. At Saturday's event, Bishop will share resources that will help area residents on their permaculture journey.

There is no cost for the class and registration is not necessary.
