• SELECT SOCCER

The Sting FC 09 boys Academy team coached by Mike Thompson won three games and tied one this past weekend at the Las Vegas Players Showcase.

Friday vs. Central Cal Aztecs, the Sting tied 1-1 (played at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex) 

Sting goal was scored by Jacob Shaporda assisted by Rowan Wyatt.

Saturday morning vs. Southern Cal Elite FC Coachella was a 1-0 win for the Sting. (played at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex).

Goal was scored by Brooks Judd with an assist from Shaporda.

Saturday afternoon vs. Central Coast Surf was a 3-2 win for the Sting (played at the Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex).

Isaac Lowder scored the first Sting goal on a free kick. Judd scored the second goal. Third goal was assisted by Lowder and scored by Taylor Smith.

Sunday morning vs. AYSO United was a 3-1 win for the Sting (played at the Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex). 

Judd assisted Mason Taylor for the first Sting goal. Taylor sent in a corner kick that was scored by Lowder. Ethan Luna scored the third goal on a penalty kick.

Goalkeeping was shared in all four games by Grant Johnson and Landon Brinkmeier.

On Saturday, the Sting beat Valor Soccer 13G Aspire 13-0. Goals were scored by Addison Salas (4), Nevie Sousley (3), Nora Schock (2), Kinsley May, Alexa Kentzel, Kyal Carlson and and Hayden Hays. On Sunday, the Sting beat the Mt. Rainier Futbol Club 13G Aspire 4-1. Goals for the Sting were scored by Nora Schock (2), Nevie Sousley and Hayden Hays.
