Bonners Ferry Gun Club: Camas Prairie week nine
Bonners Ferry Herald | UPDATED 2 months, 1 week AGO
In week nine of the Camas Prairie Leagues, gusty winds across the northwest created extra challenges for all participants and teams.
In Bonners Ferry, when the wind comes in from the southwest at 16 mph, with gusts raging, the birds play silly games, either staying low from the house without peak, or jumping straight up to the clouds. Prediction is complicated.
Temperatures were in the mid-50s, with a mix of sun, rain, and wind. Twenty-six participants joined the gun club this week. Ron Campbell, Dustin Myers, and Joe Campbell each got a perfect score of 25/25, giving Bonners Ferry a 75/75 for the week.
This moved the Bonners Ferry Gun Club from 17 in the competition to place number 13, with one week left in regular competition.
Duke's Claybusters remained in 3rd place in the region, with an even gain with second place St. Maries over Hermiston by five points. The Claybusters weekly score was 69/75, in spite of the raging winds.
Individual scores submitted for Week nine were: Joe Campbell with 25, Randi Hibbard with 23, Mason Bryant, Gus Christensen, Gage Kunksy, and Trenton Myers with 21, Aaron Michelsen with 20, Judah Roffler and Milo Slevin with 19, Jar Kunsky with 16, Zander Moseley and Robert Olson with 14, and Erik Aos with 13.
