Charles “Ray” Wall, age 85 of Polson, passed away at home from Alzheimer’s complications on March 3, 2026.
Ray was born May 17, 1940, to Frank and Elsie Courville Wall in St. Ignatius. Ray married his wife, Julie Clairmont, in 1961. They were married 64 years when Ray passed away.
Ray worked at Plum Creek and Dupuis Lumber Mills for a time and then went on to ranching for a number of years until late retirement. Friends and family would come from near and far for the branding at Buffalo Bridge.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Bob, Louis, Tom, Ron and Jerry, and sisters Pat and Maggie.
Ray is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters Raylene Wall and Marcia Wall; sons John Wall and Tracy Wall; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a proud member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. There will be no services at this time and cremation has taken place. Messages of condolence may be shared with the family online at lakefuneralhomeandcremation.com.
