During a March 18 court docket set aside for arraignments, a Coeur d’Alene realtor is scheduled to enter a plea on multiple felony charges of sexual abuse.
Scott Dustin Smith, 49, has been charged with one count of lewd conduct with a child under 16 after allegedly committing a lewd and lascivious act and three counts of rape with the victim being between 16 and 17.
At an arraignment hearing, a defendant in a case has the opportunity to enter a plea on the charges against them. If they enter a not guilty plea, a trial date will be set on the matter.
Smith posted a $150,000 bond on Dec. 13, 2025, after being arrested on Nov. 12 in Kootenai County.
A previous arraignment was originally scheduled for Feb. 4 but was delayed due to unspecified reasons.
The lewd conduct charge was filed on Nov. 6, 2025, before the three rape charges were added on Dec. 11 by prosecuting attorney Andrakay Pluid.
The alleged offenses were committed between 2013 and 2017.
