Spring Lawn Maintenance – 4 p.m. March 12 at the Polson Library; Patrick Mangan from the MSU Extension Flathead Reservation Office talks about spring lawn maintenance and preparing for the summer heat. No sign-up is required.

St. Patrick's Day Parade – 5:30 p.m. March 17, starting at St. Luke’s Hospital in Ronan; entries line up behind the hospital at 4:45 p.m. Prizes will be given at the Pheasant Lounge after the parade. 

Book Talk with Chris La Tray – 1-3 p.m. March 14 at Ninepipes Museum, south of Ronan; the former Montana Poet Laureate presents his book, Becoming Little Shell, A Landless Indian’s Journey Home. La Tray will read from his book and discuss his remarkable journey through history, cultural justice and self-discovery. Screening of “Water Keepers” – 6 p.m. March 18 at Ninepipes Lodge, south of Ronan; the next installment of the Conservation Speaker Series features a screening of the short documentary about the water technicians whose fieldwork led to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Water Compact, plus a hydrology panel featuring Seth Makepeace, George McLeod and Casey Ryan. The McDades – 7 p.m. March 20 at Polson High School; punching through the walls of tradition, The McDades deliver Celtic-rooted music that fuses the spontaneity of jazz improvisation with infectious global rhythms. Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – 10-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the third-floor Leahy Conference Room at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson; pastor Matthew Connolly leads the group, which welcomes those recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and/or family members.
