Spring vacation in the schools has been advanced 2 weeks owing to a threatened epidemic of mumps. Quite a number of students are reported to be "down with the mumps".

Border Patrol headquarters were moved from Gateway, Mont to Bonners Ferry, according to Inspector Wm. Carmichael. Five new men were added to the force here.

Warner Bros. "wonder dog", Rin-Tin-Tin will be in a new movie at the Rex theater.

Fire leveled the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Parker of Rock Creek.

Bonners Ferry Lumber Co. stopped receiving logs Monday morning due to spring breakup of roads.

Susan Fagenstrom is Valedictorian for the Class of '76, followed by Joelle Ghigleri as Salutatorian.

Twenty-two shooters participated in the regular Sunday trap shoot held at the Deep Creek trap grounds with the weather moderating and the sun shining.

Twenty-seven Boundary County Girl Scouts came together this weekend to celebrate World Thinking Day.

On Monday, Boundary County Commissioners approved Sunday sales at the state-run liquor store.

After an old board disbanded last year a new Boundary County Parks and Recreation has been formed in time for youth sports. The Boundary County Commissioners disbanded a non-functioning board last year and gave their duties to the fair board. The added responsibilities proved to be too much for the fair board.
