Galltin, West girls advance to AA final

BILLINGS — The Gallatin Raptor girls can’t be stopped.
Gallatin knocked off Billings Senior in the AA girls semifinals Friday at First Interstate Arena for its 30th consecutive victory and a spot in the championship game for the second straight season.
Jada Davis led the way for the Raptors with 21 points in the 64-38 victory.
Gallatin (21-0) will play Billings West in a rematch of last season’s championship game that the Raptors took 66-63 in overtime.
The Golden Bears outlasted Missoula Big Sky 48-45 in the other semifinal thanks to a Reese Enderson go-ahead layup with five seconds remaining.
Gallatin 64, Billings Senior 38
Makayla Coleman added eight points and 10 rebounds for Gallatin.
Davis had seven boards and the Raptors broke open the game in the second quarter to lead 27-13 at the half.
Ivy Runsabove and Eva Blatchford scored eight points each to lead Senior (14-8), who fell into a Saturday morning loser-out against Missoula Hellgate.
Billings West is the last team to defeat Gallatin, taking a 60-48 decision on Feb. 11, 2025. The teams met twice this season with Gallatin winning 53-49 at home and 60-57 in overtime in Billings.
Billings West 48, Missoula Big Sky 45
The Golden Bears (19-2) led for the entirety of the second half until Avory DeCoite knocked down a three that put the Eagles (18-3) ahead 45-44 with under 30 seconds left.
Enderson restored the Billings West lead off a miss at the other end and Macy Criswell secured the win with a pair of free throws with 3 seconds left.
DeCoite missed a buzzer-beating three.
Enderson finished with 14 points, while Criswell led the Golden Bears with 15.
DeCoite had 16 points for the Eagles. Kenzie Schmitz added 11 with 10 rebounds.
Big Sky and Butte play Saturday morning a loser out game.
