Judy Ann Cannon, 84, was born July 9, 1941, to Harold and Ena (Ingram) Butts.
Judy was tragically taken on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, along with the love of her life, Stu, and her daughter-in-law, Bengie Hansen.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brother Wayne Butts; and stepdaughter Connie.
After graduating from Eureka High School, Judy married Leland Hansen. They had four children, Dean, Brien, Vera and Karen. She later met Stu and they married on Jan. 27, 1996. Stu and Judy had just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
After marrying Stu, Judy jumped at the chance to go helicopter logging with Stu as the traffic control lady. Once retired, the adventures did not stop. They loved travelling, camping, hunting, fishing and riding ATV’s….all with friends and family.
Judy was devoted to the Libby Christian Church. She often said, “when my time comes, I’m ready to go” to which her daughter said, “but I won’t be.”
Judy is survived by her brother Sherman (Faye) Butts; sister Lois (Charlie) Croucher; her children Dean (Tina), Brien, Vera (Todd) and Karen (Jeff); stepchildren Monica (Joe), Steve (Kim) and Kelly; grandchildren Danielle (Mike), Jacob, Michelle, Zak (McKenzie), Alicia (Justin), Jessica (James), Patrick (Jessie) and Matthew; great-grandchildren Valerie, Gavin, Clara, Teadman, Grace, Kymber, Gracee and Oaklynn; and many nieces and nephews that she adored.
A memorial service for Judy, Stu and Bengie will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Libby Christian Church, 100 Kootenai River Road, with a reception to follow.
