“This was a major tournament," Siegfried said. "The competition was the toughest we have seen in many years, yet the team performed brilliantly. We were stunned when Miss Alannah Winland (our team captain) received a perfect score in the self-defense division. Our team is known for self-defense, but her performance was exceptional, and judges scores reflected that. Although I am enormously proud of the entire team for their performances individually and collectively, I am most thankful for the way they interacted their parents, themselves, their teammates and their competitors. They treated everyone they met with honor, dignity and respect, which is the most performance of all.”
