NO. 2859 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the regular meeting of the Whitefish City Council held on Monday, March 2, 2026, the City Council cancelled the public hearing advertised for March 16, 2026, regarding the adoption of the Vision Whitefish 2045 Community Plan and Future Land Use Map and continued the hearing to March 23, 2026. The City Council meeting on March 23, 2026, will be held at 7:10 p.m. in the Whitefish City Council Chambers, located in City Hall, at 418 East Second Street, Whitefish, Montana. The City Council may, at its discretion, continue the hearing on March 23, 2026, to the regular meeting of the City Council on April 6, 2026. Documents pertaining to the Vision Whitefish 2045 Community Plan and Future Land Use Map are available for review at City Hall, 418 East Second Street, during regular business hours or online at www.engagewhitefish.com. Individuals may attend in person, join the live virtual meeting via Zoom, or submit written testimony to make known their views and concerns. NO. 2861 NOTICE FOR PUBLIC COMMENT REQUEST FOR FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The City of Whitefish Floodplain Administrator has received the following Floodplain Development Permit application: A permit request by CR Leisinger, on behalf of City of Whitefish, for a floodplain development permit to replace the existing stormwater pipe with 152 linear feet of buried 21” PVC pipe to a new 8’ x 4’ concrete outlet structure. The outlet structure will be constructed in an upland area approximately 40’ east of Cow Creek. The project area will occur between the Common Area, 170 and 172 Armory Road, Whitefish, MT and can be legally described as Common Area, Section 32, Township 31N, Range 22W, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana. The complete applications may be reviewed at the Whitefish Planning and Building Department at 418 E. 2nd Street. Written or oral comments concerning the above request should be directed to the Floodplain Administrator at the Whitefish Planning and Building Department, PO Box 158, Whitefish, Montana, 59937, e-mailed to [email protected], or you can also call (406) 863-2412. Comments should be received by Thursday, April 2, 2026. In the event of substantial comment or protest to the issuance of the permit, the Floodplain Administrator may hold a public hearing to determine whether the permits shall be issued.
