SANDPOINT — Bonner Homeless Transitions is hosting its second “Little Black Dress Cocktails and Conversations” event, an elegant evening dedicated to transforming lives and ending the cycle of homelessness in Bonner County.
Area residents are invited to join BHT for what organizers said will be an unforgettable evening where compassion meets action and where every little black dress (or suit) helps write a new chapter of hope.
The event brings together community leaders, local businesses, and compassionate supporters for a night of celebration and connection that aims to help transform lives, said Rebekah Little, executive director of Bonner Homeless Transitions.
“Guests will enjoy an inspiring program, meaningful stories of hope and opportunities to directly impact families working toward self-sufficiency,” Little said.
Bonner Homeless Transitions serves single women and single mothers, most of whom are raising children, through a structured two-year program focused on housing stability, employment, budgeting, life skills, and long-term independence. BHT continues to see families transition into stable housing with employment and the tools necessary to thrive.
“The Little Black Dress Cocktails and Conversations is more than a fundraiser,” Little said. “It is a celebration of resilience. Every ticket purchased and every sponsorship secured helps provide safe housing, case management, counseling, and practical life training for families who are rebuilding their lives.”
Funds raised during the event will directly support BHT’s mission to end homelessness in Bonner County and expand services to meet growing community needs.
Currently, BHT supplies over 18,000 bed nights per year to families and individuals in need, 65% of which are utilized by children. According to the nonprofit’s website, one in three people experiencing homelessness is fleeing from a situation of domestic violence.
Through the nonprofit’s resources, individuals leaving domestic violence situations or other crises are able to find support in secure housing, affordable healthcare and educational opportunities.
Community members are invited to attend, sponsor, or donate. Tickets and sponsorship information are available at www.bonnerhomelesstransitions.org or by contacting Rebekah Little at [email protected].
