Two Horsemen, two Hawks make All-Conference

Juniors Cooper Meredith and Ben Aldridge of the Plains Horsemen, and junior Ethan Burgess and sophomore Kellen LeCoure of the Thompson Falls Blue Hawks have been named to the 2025-2026 District 7B Boys All-Conference team.
Meredith was named first team and Aldridge, Burgess and LeCoure second team. Aldridge attends school in Hot Springs but plays basketball for Plains as part of a cooperative agreement between the schools.
Seniors Lex LaFrombois of Mission, Carson Orr of Troy and Rowan Burrow of Eureka were the three District 7B first team selections who were also awarded All-State B honors.
Conference all-star teams are determined by vote of league coaches following the regular season of play.

The playoff fate of the Blue Hawks is in the hands of others as Northern conference teams head into the final week of regular season play, but you won’t find coach Jared Koskela and his scrappy young squad fretting about it. They just want to play another day, whichever way they have to do that.
Local excel in Gary Thompson Invitational
It wasn’t originally scheduled to go down this way, but the 2026 Gary Thompson Invitational was held at River’s Bend outside of Thompson Falls May 5, and local players dotted the leader board at tourney’s end.
