A head-on crash on U.S. Hwy. 93 near Arlee at around 9:40 p.m. last Monday night claimed the life of Arlee resident Bryeanna Brazill and her one-month-old daughter.

According to a report from the Montana Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old Brazill was headed south in a Nissan Altima when she crossed the center line at around mile-marker 21 and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 66-year-old man from Polson. Brazill and her baby died at the scene, while the driver of the Silverado truck sustained minor injuries.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, and according to the preliminary report, alcohol may have been involved.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, which is handling the coroner investigation for the two deceased individuals, passed along their deepest condolences to the Brazill family.
