St. Ignatius Seniors: Enjoy fresh fruit
Theresa Yares | Lake County Leader | UPDATED 1 hour, 46 minutes AGO
Whole fruits provide fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. Fruits come in all shapes and sizes, such as fresh, canned, dried or frozen.
Fruit juice is high in sugar and contains little or no fiber. Choose whole fruits instead of juice. When buying canned fruit, look for fruit canned in water or natural juice rather than syrup, according to myplate.org.
