Game 1: Bonners Ferry 23, Priest River 9
After several games were rescheduled or cancelled due to poor weather conditions, the Bonners Ferry High School softball team officially started their season on the road to the Priest River Spartans on March 19. It could not have gone much better.
The Badgers started the opening game by putting up a total of 10 runs in the first inning courtesy of four hits and six walks. However, the Spartans responded with five runs of their own in the first to make it 10-5. After a one run second inning saw the Badgers increase their lead to six runs, twelve combined runs in the third and fourth innings from Bonners Ferry saw them turn the game into a rout, winning after just four innings of play.
Bonners Ferry allowed just three hits the entire game, but they did give up seven walks and four hit by pitches.

The second game started the same way as the first, with Bonners Ferry putting up ten runs in the inning. Priest River responded with four runs of their own, before the back and forth offensive game continued. The Badgers scored five runs in the second, but the Spartans tacked up seven runs. After two innings, the game was 15-11 in favor of Bonners Ferry.
The Badgers were held scoreless in the third inning, their only zero of the game. They did score two runs in the fourth and Priest River scored one run. With the game still close, Bonners Ferry pulled away in the top of the fifth inning, scoring nine runs. The Spartans responded with a solitary run in the bottom of the fifth, but it was not enough as Bonners Ferry swept the series.
