Libby Logger grad Schwindt to be honored at UMW

The University of Montana Western will honor two outstanding community members, Sandi Sloan and Charlene Loge, along with several students during the 2026 Dr. Jane Helm Maddock Service Awards on Wednesday, April 8.

One of those students is Libby Logger graduate Cael Schwindt. A member of the Class of 2023, Schwindt wrestled and ran cross country for the Loggers. He is one of five Western students who will receive the Dr. Jane Helm Maddock Student Service Award.

The celebration will begin with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. in the Lewis and Clark Room of Mathews Hall on the Montana Western campus in Dillon.

The annual Dr. Jane Helm Maddock Service Awards recognize individuals whose dedication to service has made a lasting impact on Montana Western and the greater Dillon community. The awards celebrate both community members and students who embody a spirit of leadership, generosity, and civic engagement.

“These awards recognize individuals whose commitment to service strengthens both Montana Western and the Dillon community,” said Roxanne Engellant. “Their dedication reflects the values of leadership, generosity, and community engagement that define the legacy of Dr. Jane Helm Maddock.”
