Mark Farrell Delorme Sr., 73, passed away March 15, 2026. Mark was born June 10, 1952, in Burlington, Vermont, to Milford and Dorothy Farrell Delorme. He grew up on Colchester Avenue, joining siblings Linda, Paul, and Phillip, and was later followed by Susan, Paula, Janet, and Danny.

Always striving for excellence, Mark stood out as an athlete at Rice Memorial High School and continued his passion for football at the University of Vermont. In his early 20s, he moved to Palm Beach, Florida, where he became a successful entrepreneur. He owned four restaurants — 264, The Mark, The L.A. Cafe and The Lobster Pound.

In 1992, Mark and his family moved to the Flathead Valley. He soon opened American Homestead Mortgage, where he was instrumental in helping thousands of people achieve homeownership. The community knew that if a challenge could be overcome, Mark was the one to do it.

Diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in 2009, Mark underwent a double lung transplant in 2017. Letting nothing hold him back, he was skiing on the mountain four months after the transplant. Skiing was his first love; he was never happier than when driving through a snowstorm to reach the mountain early.  To honor his donor, Mark established The Garrett Mulholand Memorial Scholarship with Flathead Valley Community College.

Mark’s children and grandchildren were his proudest achievements and the light of his life. He was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished every moment spent with them. Mark shared a beautiful life with his wife, Chris, who was truly his rock. Together they built a life defined by love, partnership, and adventure — a testament to strength and loyalty.

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

Mark is survived by his wife Christina Thramer-Delorme; daughter Elizabeth Lee Delorme (Chris Vandeventer); sons Mark Delorme Jr. and Adam Delorme (Haley); grandchildren Dax, Bode, Thaddeus and Nakoa; sibliings Linda Chiasson, Phillip Delorme, Susan Ford, Paula Delorme and Janet Herrero.

He was preceded in death by his parents Milford and Dorothy; sister Joanne and brothers Paul and Danny.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Mark F. Delorme Sr. Memorial Scholarship Fund at Flathead Valley Community College.  In memory of Mark, please hug your loved ones, take a run on The Big, golf a round, or take a bike ride.

A celebration of life will be held April 9, 2026, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Snowline Acres, 150 Snowline Lane, Kalispell.
