Touchstones – A Dementia Friendly Program – 10 a.m. March 30 at North Lake County Public Library in Polson; program for individuals living with dementia and caregivers offers a calm space to enjoy stories and conversation through guided activities at an easy pace and without pressure. No registration is required.

AARP Smart Driver Course – 1 p.m. March 31 at the Polson library;  course gets participants up to speed with the latest driving strategies, auto safety features, and new state and local traffic laws. There are no driving tests or exams. Registration is required; call 406-883-8225 or sign up at the library.

Buttercup Run – 10 a.m. April 4 at Arlee Schools; register for 10k, 5k and one-mile courses at runsignup.com/Race/MT/Arlee/ButtercupRun. The annual event is a fundraiser hosted by Friends of Arlee Schools in partnership with CSKT Tribal Health and CSKT Wildland Recreation departments. All proceeds support scholarships for Arlee High School seniors and provide mini-grants to local teachers for school supplies.

Spay & Neuter Clinic – April 25-26 at the St. Ignatius Community Center; for low-income residents of the Flathead Indian Reservation communities. Requests for appointments are required by early April. Text your name, number and town along with your pet’s age, sex and size to 406-890-4292.  

Arts & Crafts in Polson – 1-4 p.m. Wednesdays at Summit Independent Living, 3 Ninth Ave. West, Suite 1 in Polson; join CSKT elder Tammie Miller for an afternoon of crafting, companionship and snacks. Bring a craft project or use available materials to start one. Open to people of all abilities; call 406-215-1604 for more information.

Cheerful Heart Cancer Support Group – 10-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the third-floor Leahy Conference Room at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson; pastor Matthew Connolly leads the group, which welcomes those recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment, cancer survivors, and/or family members. Kiwanis – 12 p.m. on the third Thursday every month, from February to June, at the Polson Senior Center; meetings are open to the public.
