The Stump Blowers Contest is underway! The object of these contests is to disseminate practical knowledge of stump blowing. The Pathe film service has asked to have a camera at the tri-county event to be held near Sandpoint and moving pictures of the contest will be shown all over the U.S.

Bonners Ferry officially became a Bicentennial Community, and Elaine Heath was named chairwoman of the Bicentennial Committee.
Bob Graham was installed as president of the Chamber of Commerce.
Bonners Ferry Kiwanis Club is organizing a talent show.
Bob Faber, Bonners Ferry, will portray Joseph in the University of Idaho's production of "La Traviata".

Kayla Branson was crowned the 2011 Bonners Ferry Distinguished Young Woman on Saturday. First runner-up was Jaymi McGinn, second runner-up was Lexi Wages-Shutes and third runner -up was Laura Worley.
The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho in Bonners Ferry donated the electric reader board which once stood in front to the Kootenai River Inn to Boundary County School District #101.
In late February, Boulder Creek Academy students performed in the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow.
