POLSON — Rylee Freight hit a grand slam and Belgrade used an 11-run first inning to defeat Polson 16-3 in high school softball Friday.
Freight’s homer capped off the early outburst that also saw Paige Fulton go yard.
Aleysia Black and Adrienne Crockett knocked in runs for the Pirates.
Londyn Freese went three innings for the Panthers allowing just one run on one hit.
Logan McCrea went five innings in the circle in relief for the Pirates. She allowed one run and three hits.
