Mary Ann was a spring baby, born May 6, 1943, in Iowa. On March 20, Mary Ann went to sleep and woke in Heaven for Eternity, the first day of spring, 2026.

She was a firecracker in life. She managed the Falls Club in Post Falls for nearly 30 years. Prior to that, she owned and operated two delicatessens in Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. She worked hard to serve others and run a good business. She was an in-home caregiver after she retired.

Mary Ann bought a new red Chevy Beretta in 1995 (which she drove until last year). She was proud to have a brand-new home built in 1996, which she lived in for 30 years. She loved working in her immaculate yard, with her lilacs, raspberries, tomatoes, kohlrabi and cabbage. She loved her kids, her grandchildren, her friends, her cats, going to yard sales, baking cookies and fudge, playing pool, solitaire, pinochle and bingo, she loved gambling at the slot machines, and singing karaoke.

Her daughter, Chris, and husband, Roger, son, Kevin, and wife, Jan, grandchildren, Chantel and wife, Julie, Chaye and husband, Caleb, Reid, Felicia and husband, Taylor, Alex, and great-grandson, Manny, brother, Ray, and wife, Joan, brother, Brett, and wife, Pattie, and family in Iowa all mourn her passing. Mary Ann’s dear friend, Sharon Dethloff, will always be loved, the two of them laughing through hours of fun, adventure, and friendship. Odessa was her pinochle partner.

In honor of Mary Ann Musil Collins Johns, please be unfiltered, wear pink, drink a Diet Pepsi or Red Beer, and learn to play Pinochle.

Bell Tower Funeral Home has been entrusted with Mary Ann's care.
