Early offense powers Wolfpack softball over Belgrade

Olivia Warriner went 3-for-3 with two RBIs as Glacier defeated Belgrade 11-8 in high school softball Saturday at Glacier High School.


Warriner drove in a pair of runs, while Sophia Frederick had three RBIs in a 2-for-4 outing. 


Rylee Freight hit a three-run homer in the top of the second to put the Panthers ahead 6-1. 


Then the Wolfpack offense started to roll. Warriner doubled and brought in a run to make it 6-2. A sacrifice bunt and passed ball made it 6-4 headed to the third. 


Frederick went deep for a three-run homer in the third to give Glacier (1-0) its first lead of the game, 7-6. Warriner drove in another run on a single, then Ava Grady made it 10-6 with a two-run double. 


Grady closed the game down with 2 2-3 innings of perfect work in the circle, she fanned all eight batters she faced. Warriner started and threw 4 1-3 innings with two strikeouts.
