MARCH 29: Vietnam War Veterans Day, never forget!

On March 28, 2017, President Donald Trump signed legislation to enact the "National Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017," establishing the National Vietnam War Veterans Day that will, henceforth, be celebrated each year on March 29. It is, by law, a national day of observance, such as Flag Day, Patriot Day and Pearl Harbor Day, and the US flag is to be flown on March 29 every year.

National commemorations concluded on March 29, 2025, celebrating 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War. But, let's continue to embrace our responsibility to help our veterans and their families heal from the heavy toll of the war. Please fly your US flag. And, if you see a Vietnam veteran, please shake his/her hand and say "Thank you."
