Ronald “Ron” Pierre Kunik, 89, of Columbia Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 26, 2026.

Ron was born on June 13, 1936, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Andrew Joseph Kunik and Mary Iris Webster. On April 1, 1970, he married the love of his life, Beverly “Bev” Klein, and together they built a beautiful life full of love, faith and adventure.

Ron proudly served his country for six years in the United States Air Force as a radar control technician. He was also an entrepreneur at heart, founding two businesses: Kandid Kamper, where he built custom camper shells, and Montana Medical Benefit, an insurance company.

Ron found great joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments — being married to his best friend, playing golf, attending his grandchildren’s sporting and music events, running his businesses, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Ron is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 55 years, Beverly “Bev” Kunik; his parents and his younger sister, Hazel “Boots” Carmichael.

He is lovingly remembered by his children: Gayla, Shane, Terry and Steve; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family rejoices in knowing he is at peace in the presence of the Lord.

A funeral service will be held for Ronald on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
