40 UNDER 40: Brianna Hills
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 month, 2 weeks AGO
Brianna Hills is passionate about bringing communities together.
Nothing does that quite like food.
Hills is the owner and operations planner of Kalbria Grazing Bar, which offers luxury mobile snack carts for weddings, events and elevated gatherings.
“The catering cart seemed like something I could do outside of my nine-to-five corporate job to bring joy and memories to people,” she said.
With more than eight years of experience in supply chain management, Hills has a bachelor’s degree in transportation logistics and supply chain management. That experience helps her to run her business in a profitable and efficient manner.
Hills said she draws inspiration from her mother, who set an example as a hardworking woman.
“She taught me that you can do absolutely anything if you set your mind to it and never give up on yourself,” she said. “I was a teen mom and felt my goals and dreams might never happen once I found out. Luckily, I had her by my side, which allowed me to enter college and have the success that I have today and be a role model for my now 12-year-old.”
She said she is blessed to have a husband who goes along with every single crazy plan or idea she brings to him without any hesitation or question.
"He simply supports me every step of the way and I know I am beyond lucky to have a partner like him," she added.
In the coming years, Hills said she’d like to continue Kalbria Grazing Bar and someday own a distillery that gives back to local veterans. The cause is close to her heart because her husband is a veteran.
If she could speak with her younger self, Hills said she’d encourage her to focus on the positives.
“You’re so much stronger than you think,” she said. “God will always lead you to your correct path.”
