Growing up in North Idaho shaped Josh Ribble’s approach to business and community and reinforced his commitment to delivering excellent and eco-friendly service that keeps his community looking great.
With his background in high-end custom construction, Ribble said he’s always appreciated opportunities to contribute to the area’s beauty. But he knew he wouldn’t be in construction forever.
“Don’t get me wrong, I love construction,” he said. “Building something with your hands gives you a sense of accomplishment that’s hard to compete with. But I just wasn’t happy when I woke up every morning. That’s how I knew something had to change.”
Ribble’s career path led him to start EcoWash: HouseWashing & Moss Removal.
“This year marks our sixth year in business and we're proud to have established ourselves as a trusted provider of commercial and residential exterior cleaning services in the North Idaho area,” he said.
When he started his business, Ribble was in a transitional phase, working for Rich Donohoe at Donohoe Construction.
“After a couple months of preparation and part-time work with Rich, I was finally ready to take the leap of faith and fully commit to EcoWash, beginning to build it into what it is today,” Ribble said. “His support during our early days was invaluable, and I will always be grateful for that.”
Ribble said his loved ones have had a major influence on his life. His father, George, demonstrated a good work ethic and a commitment to supporting his family, while his mother, Lynda, gave him his business sense.
His wife, Kimmy, has been by his side from the creation of EcoWash and beyond. Now she runs the business alongside Ribble.
“EcoWash is now 100% family owned and operated and we couldn’t be happier,” he said.
