Kamren Nelson loves being creative.

It’s no wonder he became a videographer and editor — and a leader in the media and marketing industry — after launching OnTheGo Media with his brother.

“My brother and I started OnTheGo Media because we have always been super passionate about our creative side,” Nelson said. “I’ve always loved film and being able to capture moments people can enjoy forever.”

Nelson learned the basics in high school, but said many of his skills came through trial and error and a determination to explore his creativity while delivering what his clients envision.

“It’s helped build my workflow and creative abilities,” he said.

After graduating, Nelson worked for an epoxy countertop company, managing its social media and YouTube content.

“I would say this shaped who I am today,” he said. “It changed the way I thought of being a videographer, turning it into a serious passion. Being disciplined to deliver content on time and professionally built my confidence as a videographer.”

He plans to continue developing his craft, adding new techniques and skills to create unforgettable moments for his clients.

“I see myself traveling multiple times a month for projects and being the top marketing agency in North Idaho,” he said.

When he isn’t capturing his clients’ dreams on film, Nelson enjoys spending time with his fiancée, building a family and creating a home together.

If he could give his younger self one piece of advice, he said it would be to “always trust in Jesus.”
