It was only after exploring several other careers that Tiffany Camp said she found her calling as the CEO and owner of Happy Camper Cleaning.

While her love for a clean, organized space began in childhood as it was the only consistency she had, and the one thing she could control. It wasn’t until late 2021 that Camp launched Happy Camper Cleaning.

“While on my own healing journey, everything finally clicked for me: clean spaces and wellness go hand in hand,” she said on her company’s website. “I realized how important a clean environment is to mental well-being, and I wanted to share that sense of calm and peace with others.”

So, in December 2021, Camp started Happy Camper Cleaning with a simple goal — to give clients the relief and joy that comes from walking into a sparkling, chore-free home.

Whether it’s a deep clean, a move-in refresh or a regular residential clean, Camp said she and her team go above and beyond on every cleaning project. With impeccable attention to detail, she said the company leaves the space — and her clients — feeling better and more at peace with a tidy, sparkling space.

Camp, who helps clients in the Priest River and greater Sandpoint area, said she knows how much better she feels in a clean, clutter-free space and truly loves being able to give clients that same peace of mind. She has a soft spot for the elderly, and volunteers most of her free time to helping them get to experience this sense of calm, too!

A single mom of two boys, Camp said it was that realization four years ago that prompted her to ignore the doubts and follow through with her plans to launch Happy Camper Cleaning.

"The idea of starting a business from ground zero always seemed like such a far-off dream. It was something I had always pondered, but not something I thought I could do. After years of waiting tables and odds and ends jobs while barely making ends meet, I knew it was time to make the leap and bring this dream to life." she said.  "My family moved to the area for a fresh start after a very rocky past. We have loved every minute of North Idaho! I knew that this beautiful place was where I wanted to share my love of cleaning. I really tapped into my inner self and pushed through every fear I had. I initially started out with business cards walking into places in Sandpoint introducing myself and HCC. My first few clients referred many more to me over the years. Those first clients will always hold such a special place in my heart! They stuck it out with me as I learned and grew into what the business is today. What an honor to have grown so much and so quickly by word of mouth! I have had the chance to connect with and help so many amazing people who have become long time clients! I really look forward to continuing to grow and building strong relationships with the people in this amazing community! I truly love what I do, and you can see it in my work no matter the project. I am so thankful for the opportunity to make a clean difference in so many lives."

Camp credits her education, background — and her boys — for giving her the drive and work ethic that form the foundation of her business. "My boys have been rockstars and so patient! My first two years in business I was easily working 50-80 hour weeks. Even at home the business never stops. They have supported this dream and have been understanding to the fact that I am so busy with HCC since day one. Managing work and home life can be very difficult. We are killing it! They truly are my reason, and I couldn't do this without them!" Camp says.

Fast forward to the present- her business’s revenue has tripled, and she is one of the well-known cleaning businesses in the area. She has gone from cleaning solo to having a team of 4! That’s something Camp said will continue into the future for years to come as she enjoys her family and a self-sufficient business.

If she could give her younger self one piece of advice, Camp said it would center around her family.

“You will one day become the parent you needed and be a phenomenal mother who loves with all she’s got. Never be scared to start over, and risks not taken are just missed opportunities," Camp said. “And save your money!”
