Law roundup: Spring breakers' antics not silly to victims

A furious parent called the Kalispell Police Department from out of town, alleging their vehicle was destroyed by Silly String and wanting to press charges. They asked officers to take photos of the mess and potential paint damage. Officers spoke to all parties and counseled the prankster on their behavior.
Boys packed in an old brown station wagon reportedly spent some free time in a parking lot doing brodies, smoking cigarettes and driving toward a shopper, whom they heckled.
A neighborhood child allegedly kept defacing a woman’s garage and cars with racist epithets. She didn’t want law enforcement to take any action yet, but she wanted the latest incident documented and photos entered into evidence if it continued.
A grandmother reportedly requested an officer come over and scare the “who-diddly” out of her 8-year-old grandson, who had graffitied a neighbor’s trash can. She was advised that the officers aren’t in the business of scaring children.
Someone was suspicious of a white box van with its door ajar that was slowly circling an area near the school and park. Officers were unable to locate the creeping van.
A vape store owner allegedly received calls from a fearful employee who was being pelted with items thrown by their mother. The owner told police she was on medication for mental health issues and had a registered firearm. They asked officers to ban her from the store and their house.
A man claimed someone entered his residence and stole two iPhones, an iPad, an iWatch and a router. Officers spoke to neighbors with security cameras who reportedly said they are home "all day, every day" and didn't see anyone breaking into the victim’s home, adding that the victim would say people were breaking into his home on a daily basis.
A landlord reportedly told a tenant to be out of a house in four days without giving them an eviction notice and did not respond to their messages.
