Sprunger for the ‘Heart of Kalispell’
It’s primary season and the voters of House District 7 are grinning, for once again the “Heart of Kalispell” has the opportunity to re-elect their workhorse Republican candidate Rep. Courtenay Sprunger.
Totally committed to her constituents, Sprunger has already become widely regarded on both sides of the Helena aisle for her prodigious output of creative, collaborative and common-sense legislative solutions to a wide range of contemporary issues. Her 2023 rookie session produced an unheard of eight bills passed into law, topped by her 2025 session of 11 bills signed by our governor: studying resident hunter opportunities and wildlife management; tracking illegal labor; lowering local property taxes; preventing state agency overreach; expanding libraries’ funding; establishing a Montana adoption tax credit; furthering internships, apprenticeships and other learning opportunities; allocating transportation matching funds to capture federal road, bridge and safety project funding. The list goes on and on and on.
It is hardly an accident that Gov. Greg Gianforte journeys regularly to the Flathead to recognize her bill signings. Her work speaks for itself. She is the face of the future.
