Amber Shirts of Dalton Gardens is the winner of the 58th annual Art on the Green Poster Contest.
Shirts picked up a paintbrush only two years ago after years of photography. Her poster was among 38 submitted this year. Five entries were put to a public vote and Shirts' design ultimately won.
Shirts said the inspiration came from the natural beauty of Coeur d'Alene and the uplifting energy that Art on the Green annually brings to the community.
"I wanted to capture the feeling of standing by the lake in the warmth of summer, surrounded by mountains, color and creativity," Shirts said in a news release. "The radiating sun and flowing water are symbolic of light, growth and shared inspiration, reflecting both the spirit of the event and the artists who bring it to life."
The winning poster will be for sale at Art on the Green, along with T-shirts, aprons, bags and stickers. The 2026 festival will be July 31-Aug. 2 on the grounds of North Idaho College.
