Julie Berreth, 56 years of age, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Bonner General Health in Sandpoint.
She moved to Sandpoint in 1991 and worked for BlueSky Broadcasting as a DJ; she worked for Coldwater Creek in the early 2000s as a copywriter specialist until they closed business. She went to work for North Idaho Animal Hospital for a few years until she went on to be a contractor with small businesses as a copywriter and website builder working from home.
She helped produce local plays for American Lab Theater, producing "Frankenstein" and "Rocky Horror Picture Show" as well as others.
She went on to grow further into her faith of the Lord and became a prayer warrior helping many people around the area and through friends she made in states across the country. She touched many people's lives and hearts with her love and prayers and personal support.
Julie was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to Stanly and Linda Berreth, and raised in Post Falls, Idaho, with her brother, Matthew Berreth. Stanly passed away in 2022. She is survived by two children, Monica and Jordan Abbey; grandchildren Reed Abbey Riley and Palmer and Van Abbey; and her husband, Eddie McDonnell, who remains in their home in Sandpoint.
Julie's memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, at New Life Church, 1925 N. Boyer Ave., Sandpoint, ID, 83864, followed by a potluck with those attending at the church.
