TURNOUT: A challenge for voters
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 hours, 28 minutes AGO
A challenge: Kootenai County, beat your last primary turnout rate of 30%.
Frustration without action is ineffective. We must act now by making our voices heard in the upcoming election. Early voting for the Primary Election begins May 4. Are you registered? Have you declared a party affiliation? Do you know your polling location? Have you considered exercising your right to vote via early voting or an absentee ballot?
All of these questions can be answered in person at the Kootenai County Elections office, located at 1808 N 3rd Street in Coeur d’Alene. You can also visit VoteIdaho.gov to register, check your voter record, request an absentee ballot, or find your polling place for May 19. Additionally, you can review the list of candidates and issues to conduct your own research. As a citizen, it is vital to learn about the issues yourself rather than relying on “menus” offered by groups seeking to harness your vote for their own power.
Turn out and vote!
