The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is accepting public comments on three draft water infrastructure funding documents: 1) State Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Fund Intended Use Plan (IUP); 2) State Drinking Water Planning Grant Priority List; and 3) State Wastewater Planning Grant Priority List. Once approved and finalized by the Idaho Board of Environmental Quality, these documents will govern decisions for the state fiscal year 2027. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PRAIRIE AVENUE ANNEXATION TO ASSIGN RM ZONING AS PART OF A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT File No. ANNX-25-5 Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Post Falls will hold deliberations as part as a continued public hearing at Post Falls City Hall, 408 North Spokane Street, Post Falls, Idaho, on the 19th of May 2026 at 6:00 p.m., on a request for to annex approximately 20 acres of vacant farmland into the City of Post Falls with a zoning request of Residential Mixed (RM) Zoning. GENERAL LOCATION: The property is located north of West Prairie Avenue approximately 1/3 of a mile east of the intersection of North Greensferry Road and West Prairie Avenue. ZONING DISTRICT DESCRIPTION: Residential Mixed (RM): The Residential Mixed (RM) zone is intended to accommodate a mixed residential community with a variety of housing types at varying densities within the development area. Small scale neighborhood commercial/office uses may be suitable within the RM zone. This zone should be applied in areas designated for a residential land use pattern within the Comprehensive Plan’s Future Land Use Map. Approval of the Residential Mixed (RM) zone requires a development agreement regulating the development site as provided in section 18.20.190 of the PFMC. Permitted Uses: Permitted and specially permitted uses in the RM zone are listed in the land use table in Section 18.20.030. Multi-family residential uses cannot exceed twenty percent (20%) of the total development site (gross). Neighborhood commercial/office uses cannot exceed 10 percent (10%) of the total development site (gross).
