Robert “Bob” Dean Swan, 89, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away April 25, 2026. Bob was born May 14, 1936, to Edwin and Ruth Swan in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He lived a long and full life rooted in love and dedication to his family and God. Bob enjoyed the simple joys of everyday moments.

Bob was a proud member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Bob honorably served in the military, spending much of his time stationed in Germany. He had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed riding his bike every day, a simple routine that brought him both joy and peace. Bob spent endless hours outdoors with his family hunting, hiking, cutting wood and picking huckleberries.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Joanne Swan, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family that was the center of his world.

Bob is survived by his wife Joanne, their six children, 19 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. His legacy lives on through each of them and the values he passed down.

His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., May 8, 2026, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kellogg, with a luncheon to follow in the Parish Center.
