FOUNDATION: Gratitude to fundraiser participants
On behalf of the board and the members of the JW Memorial Foundation, we would like to send a heartfelt and sincere THANK YOU to all the attendees of our 2026 annual fundraiser that was held on April 18th at the event center of The Club at Prairie Falls, Post Falls. The event was a great success, with an enthusiastic turnout and meaningful participation from all.
To our attendees, sponsors, table holders, donors, speakers and volunteers, local and throughout the state of Idaho, we could not have done it without your continued support and belief in our foundation.
Your support not only contributed to the event’s positive energy but also helped us to achieve and sustain our goal of "Helping Those Who Help Us " — your first responders, including police officers, emergency technicians and fire fighters — who are there when you need them.
Thank you, again, to all who help the JW Memorial Foundation continue to make a difference in our community and the state of Idaho.
With gratitude,
GINA M. MATHER

PRESS: Tribute to referee much appreciated
Thanks to sports reporter Mark Nelke for writing such a nice tribute to Roger Stewart ... and other local football officials. I enjoyed getting to know Roger and his family when they first moved to Coeur d'Alene. I loved reading about his many successes to help other refs and football players. He is an example of what makes Idaho such a great place to live.

PF LIONS: Thanks for food drive success
On behalf of the Post Falls Lions Club, I would like to thank the Post Falls and surrounding communities for contributing to our Food Drive for the 3rd Avenue Marketplace (Post Falls Food Bank) on Saturday, April 25.
We would also like to thank Super 1 for allowing us to set up in front of their East Polston Avenue store.
Due to the wonderful generosity of our communities, we were able to donate over $734.00 and over 560 pounds of food to the Food Bank. The food alone will touch over 500 families on our area.
A couple of the programs the 3rd Avenue Marketplace helps provide over 400,000 pounds of food to over 20 other nonprofits throughout North Idaho. They provide a weekend backpack program for over 250 children in the Post Falls School District, who live in poverty, with weekend food packs.
We will be doing another food drive in the fall and we look forward to seeing everyone then.
Again, thank you for your generosity toward a good cause.
