KCSO says domestic incident involved Rathdrum mayor

The mayor of Rathdrum was allegedly involved in a domestic incident on Saturday, according to a press release from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

The Sunday release said that about 11:15 a.m. KCSO deputies were requested by the Rathdrum Police Department "to respond to and investigate a domestic battery within the city jurisdiction, due to a potential conflict of interest.

"Upon arrival, KCSO deputies learned the incident involved Rathdrum City Mayor Mike Hill," the release said.

An investigation continues, "and no further comments will be made at this time," the release said.
