On April 10, 2026, "The Unsinkable" Pauline Curtiss made her final journey, with so much joy and expectation, into the loving arms of Jesus. No doubt her joy is complete.

United with her husband, Halden N. Curtiss Jr., her beloved son, David, her parents, and countless friends from across this globe, Pauline is likely figuring out the daily schedule and how she can improve it!

Mom was witty, fun, a great adventurer, smart, capable and loving. Most of all, a prayer warrior. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and soul.

Born in Calcutta, India, on Jan. 8, 1937, Pauline experienced World War II in India, was transported across the Indian Ocean to Australia as a child, then to London as a young adult. She came to America, where she met her husband, Halden N. Curtiss Jr. Together they raised a family in the Flathead Valley, Montana.

Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Halden N. Curtiss Jr., her loving parents, Harold and Hilda (Newsham) Groves, and her beloved son, David.

She is survived by son, Halden and Mindy (Moody) Curtiss and their children, Halden and Hannah (children, Callan and Nicolette), Elijah, Joshua and Meagan (Curtiss) Myers (daughter, Dorothy Jo), Katherine and Lilly. She is also survived by her daughter, Christine Reid (Curtiss) and her children (Heidi and Micah), and son, Jonathan and Rebecca (Horst) Curtiss.

Pauline was unshakable in her faith, unbeatable in her wit, and unstoppable in her devotion to family. She will be dearly missed, but we also look forward, with great joy and expectation, to one day being reunited with our dear mother and meeting Jesus, face to face.
