PREP TRACK AND FIELD: Petras shines for Bonners Ferry in Kellogg meet

KELLOGG — Bonners Ferry senior Spiro Petras had wins in the 100- and 200-meter dash as well as the long jump, and was second in the 400 to lead the Badgers to a runner-up finish in the Kellogg Last Chance Meet on Saturday at Dale Hunt Track and Field. 

Westin Caven of Clark Fork won the 800 meters and the 110 hurdles.

Niki Porinchok of Priest River captured the boys shot put and the discus.

Rachel Roberts of Priest River won the girls 200 and pole vault.

Valley Christian of Spokane Valley swept team titles at the seven-team meet.

Valley Christian’s boys totaled 166.5 points. Bonners was second with 136.
