Robert Dale Petty (Grandpa Bob), 86, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, just one day after celebrating his birthday. He spent the last 20 years of his life in Moses Lake, Washington.

Bob was born on April 24, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. He worked his whole career in sales in California. After he retired he worked many years selling the local newspaper and then selling cars in Moses Lake. Throughout his life, he was known as a hard worker, devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Bob will be remembered for his love, strength, kindness and humor. His memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

He leaves behind his wife of 38 years Jeanette Petty; his six children Tom Petty, Dennis Petty, Robert and Sherry Petty, Leland Petty, Phyliss Seals and Joel Petty; his stepchildren Teresa Flegel (Rick Matson), Sharon and Garry Burns and Judy Lindstrom; and many grandkids and great grandkids. He is deeply missed by his family and loved ones.

He fought a good fight over six years with a lung disease (IPF) and had lots of support this last year.

A funeral service will be held on May 15, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake.  Rosary will be at 10 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.

Bob’s legacy of love and dedication to his family will never be forgotten.
