Full caption: Sandpoint's Logan Roos recently committed to continue his basketball career at North Idaho College (NJCAA Division I) in Coeur d'Alene. A 6-foot-8-inch wing-guard combo, the standout hooper was an All-Inland Empire League selection as both a junior and a senior. As a senior, Roos averaged an impressive 15.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.3 blocks per game. The Cardinals, 16-15 during their 2025-2026 campaign, compete in the Scenic West Athletic Conference and featured just two other players from North Idaho on their roster a year ago. "Logan has so much potential — and you could see that potential grow over his last four years at Sandpoint High as he got more confident and felt more comfortable with his skill set," Sandpoint High head boys basketball coach Will Love said. "The thing I appreciated with Logan is the leadership he brought off the court. He did a lot of things that good leaders do, and that was very helpful for me as a first-year coach. Logan has the skills and the height to be a pretty remarkable player. I'm excited he'll get to go to a program like NIC, where he's going to develop. I imagine seeing him playing for a four-year college soon enough."
