LIBBY — Finn Ryan smacked a first-inning home run, and Whitefish broke it open with a five-run seventh in a 14-2 win over Libby on Saturday in Northwest A baseball.

Whitefish (7-5) tacked on single runs in the second and third on sacrifice flies from Drew Queen and Luke Dalen.

The Bulldogs broke it open in the seventh, as Wyatt Hanchett knocked in a run with a single, while Joaquin Gonzalez and Gavin Knapp each drew bases-loaded walks. Luke Dalen followed with a two-run double to stretch the lead.

Whitefish finished with 11 hits and drew nine walks.

Reed Boyer led the way from the bottom of the order, going 3-for-4. Ryan and Dalen each drove in three runs, while Carter Godsey and Knapp added multiple hits. The Bulldogs had six steals, including two from Godsey.

Libby (5-6) got on the board early. Bransen Holzer and Boe Miles each drove in a run, and Ian Thom added a hit as the Loggers had three.

On the mound, Liam Krezowski held Libby to two runs — one earned — on two hits over four innings, striking out three. Boyer and Knapp closed it out, allowing just one hit over the final three innings.

Both teams meet again on Tuesday, as Libby will travel to Whitefish. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
