BIG LOG TOWS SUPPLY P.R. MILL
Most sawlogs for Pack River company’s Colburn sawmill are coming from tows on Lake Pend Oreille this spring. The tows, the first in many years on the big lake, are from clearing operations by Russell Oliver, who is clearing the right-of-way for the new Bonneville transmission line over the Green Monarchs. One tow was brought down the lake to Dover last fall, two more have been hauled this spring, and two or three more are yet to come.
