PREP GOLF: Noble, Van Gundy advance to state for Timberlake

RATHDRUM — Timberlake Rose Noble won a three-way playoff to earn girls district medalist honors at the 4A District 1 tournament at Twin Lakes Village Golf Club on Monday.
Patrick Young of Bonners Ferry was boys medalist with a 3-over-par 75.
Bonners Ferry swept team titles as the top two individuals and winning teams advanced to state next Monday and Tuesday at Eagle Hills Golf Course in Eagle.
Timberlake junior Wade Van Gundy was runner-up with a 94 to advance to state.

Priest River boys, Kellogg girls
claim district titles at The Links
POST FALLS — Priest River won the boys team title and Kellogg claimed the girls team title at the 3A District 1-2 tournament at The Links Golf Course.
It is the 23rd straight time the Kellogg boys have qualified for state and first time since 2022 for the Wildcat girls.
The top 10 boys and six girls advanced to state next Monday and Tuesday at Scotch Pines Golf Course in Payette.
Wallace’s Kayden Stutzke (second) and Addison Crane (fourth) of St. Maries qualified individually for the girls tournament.
