POST FALLS — Kellogg’s boys and girls swept the team titles at the Genesis Prep Invitational at The Links Golf Club. 

Kellogg’s boys shot 346 and won by two strokes over Bonners Ferry. 

Chase Lovell of Potlatch earned medalist honors, defeating Henry Driskell of Logos on the first playoff hole, after each shot 3-over-par 76s. Zeke Watts of St. Maries was fourth with a 79. Kellogg’s girls shot 414, two shots better than Logos.

SPIRIT LAKE — Senior Joci Lee struck out 17 in the opener, then fanned 10 in the nightcap for the Wildcats in a sweep of the Tigers in a nonleague doubleheader at Timberlake High. 

Sophomore Shae Jones struck out 10 in both games for Timberlake. 

“Two tough losses to Kellogg today,” Timberlake coach Jenny Whaley said. “We had some errors that allowed four runs to score and that was the difference maker in both games. Kellogg is coached well and their pitcher did a great job.”

KELLOGG – Kellogg's Davin Harju took first in the men’s 400-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and the Wildcats finished third as a team at the Kellogg Last Chance Meet on Saturday at Dale Hunt Track and Field. Westin Caven of Clark Fork won the 800 meters and the 110 hurdles. 

Niki Porinchok of Priest River captured the boys shot put and the discus. Rachel Roberts of Priest River won the girls 200 and pole vault. Valley Christian of Spokane Valley swept team titles at the seven-team meet. Valley Christian’s boys totaled 166.5 points.
