ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Teagan Newsom, Sandpoint Softball

This week's Athlete of the Week is Teagan Newsom of Sandpoint Softball.

A junior, Teagan went a combined 3-for-6 with a three-run home run, a solo home run, a triple and three runs scored during a recent doubleheader against Post Falls. The standout infielder and outfielder, batting .412 (28-for-68) on the year to go along with a .456 on-base percentage, was also 2-for-3 with an RBI single as she helped the Lady Bulldogs to a 4-3 win over Lewiston.
